Secretary General of the Oman Ministry of Financial Affairs. The
Agreements signed were for Promotion and Protection of Investment.

Service) exchanges signed legal instruments with Dr. Hamed bin Mohamed
Al Dhawyan, Oman's Under Secretary at the Ministry of Heritage and
Culture. The Agreement based on Cooperation in Records and Archives.
Zanzibar's
Minister for Labour, Cooperatives and Economic Empowerment, Haroun Ali
Suleiman and Oman Minister for Higher Education, Dr. Rawiyah Al Busaidi
exchanging legal instruments on Memorandum of Understanding on
Cooperation in higher Education between Oman and Zanzibar. Witnessing
the ceremony is H.E. President Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete, President of the
United Republic of Tanzania.
Mr.
Aloyce Joseph Mwamanga, President of Tanzania Chamber of Commerce,
Agriculture and Industry signs Agreement on Forming joint Business
Council between Tanzania and Oman. Witnessing the ocassion is Mr.

Tanzania
and the Sultanate of Oman yesterday signed various agreements aimed at
enhancing political and economic ties between the two countries. The
Agreements were signed during the second day of President Jakaya Mrisho
Kikwete's State Visit to the Sultanate of Oman following the invitation
of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al Said.
The
Agreements were signed yesterday during the joint Tanzania-Oman
business forum held at Al Bustan Hotel in Muscat, Oman. They
are: Agreement on Promotion and Protection of Investment, Memorandum of
Understanding on Cooperation in higher Education between Oman and
Zanzibar, Agreement on Cooperation in Records and Archives and the
Agreement on Forming joint Business Council between Oman and Tanzania.
